The body of this attractive mid-sized bird is carved from a rare transparent pastel green Spodumene known as Hiddenite, surmounted by a comb and tail feathers of pink kunzite rendered from the same variety of Spodumene. The gold vermeil feet rest upon a base of associated Brazilian minerals, namely blue-green tourmaline in a matrix of lepidolite and quartz, unsigned. Measuring 6 x 5 x 3 1/2in (15.3 x 12.7 x 8.9cm)
