彩虹LGBT骄傲旗帜-吉尔伯特·贝克

-Gilbert Baker (1951-2017) was an 美国艺术家 artist, gay rights activist, and designer of the rainbow flag, a worldwide symbol of LGBTQ pride. His flag became widely associated with LGBT rights causes, a symbol of gay pride that has become ubiquitous in the decades since its debut.
Designed by Gilbert Baker, the original gay pride flag first flew at the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade celebration on 25 June 1978. Whereas today’s rainbow flag often has six colors, the original design had eight thanks to the inclusion of pink and turquoise stripes.
Baker even assigned a meaning to each color. Pink stood for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for magic/art, indigo for serenity, and violet for spirit.
In 1979, the two colors of Hot Pink and Turquoise were dropped, thus creating the well-recognized 6-stripe Pride Flag. This flag with the Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Violet horizontal stripes remains a popular symbol of LGBTQA+ Pride.
In 2015, the Museum of Modern Art ranked the rainbow flag as an internationally recognized symbol.
