-Nicholas Biscardi is a native New Yorker who earned his degree in Fine Art from the school of Visual Arts. After graduating he spent several years in Italy\'s Lake Como district as a fashion textile designer where he simultaneously pursued his passion for painting. The rich, natural ambiance of the Italian countryside inspired him to create dreamlike landscapes and fresh, innovative nature studies.
The effects of light on water inspired him further when he settled, for a time, on the picturesque Gulf coast of Florida. The ever changing landscape of sun, sea and sky enabled him to explore his avid interest in seascapes. Subsequent regular visits to the Italian Isle of Capri and Sicily enriched this vision. Nicholas\'s innate color sense and inventive textural vocabulary gleaned from his paintings, translated into his designs for fashion and home textiles, and later, dinnerware, giftware and poster mediums.
The consistent thread in all of his art, whether in traditional or digital mediums, has been a fresh new take on nature.
